Slowing Down & Measuring Up

Slowing down is my new luxury

Since shifting over to Substack, I’ve been nowhere near consistent.
It honestly hasn’t even been on my mind — not out of neglect,
but because I can only stretch my focus so far.

I’ve been an anti–multi-tasker.
Even my daughter knows the rule now:

“How many things can Mommy use her brain on at one time, baby?”
“Just one,” she replies.
“Exactly, my love — so why are you asking me for tea, a snack,
and a kiss for your boo-boo mid-cartwheel
while I’m trying to make a spring hat for tomorrow’s school flower day
that I just heard about?”

All this to say — I’ve slowed down.
That includes my output and my focus.

Yes, I’m a little behind on some things
(like sharing those Spring Shoot Day pictures and videos 👀),
But I’ve learned to trust that I don’t need to be constantly
plugged into the machine to feel productive — or provided for.

I’m trusting a slower pace.
A truer one.

🧵 Matching the Energy

Just like Ri.Ch Factory garments — slowly made with intention —
I had to match that energy within myself.

That decision actually began on 28 January 2020.
I remember because it was my friend’s birthday dinner.
We were talking about life, and I said how the past few years
had felt like a blur — everything moving so fast I could barely remember it.

Shortly after that, the pandemic hit.
The store closed for a while, and we couldn’t produce in big numbers anymore.

That season taught me to create differently — more intimately.
We started making each piece to order.
While we still keep a small selection of ready-to-shop garments in the studio,
most are made specially for you.

Each order comes in, and we make that garment
with your unique measurements in mind.

📏 How to Measure Yourself — the Ri.Ch Way

What I assumed was a basic skill… turns out, it’s not!
Not everyone knows how to measure themselves properly — and that’s okay.

So here it is — my new “How to Measure Yourself” video.
Simple, quick, and made to help you get that perfect Ri.Ch Factory fit.

💛 May it bring a little ease, confidence, and joy to your next order.

Chat soon, loves.
xoxo,
Rina
